Industrial and commercial scaffolding is erected and dismantled by trained and competent personnel in accordance with approved designs, relevant standards, and site-specific safety requirements. All works are planned in advance and supported by risk assessments, method statements, and inspection processes to ensure the safety of workers, the public, and surrounding structures. Prior to erection, site conditions are assessed, exclusion zones are established, and the scaffold layout is set out to suit the required access, load capacity, and work activities. The scaffold is erected progressively from the ground up, with base components installed on suitable foundations and structural elements assembled to form a stable framework. Working platforms, access points, guardrails, toe boards, bracing, and ties are installed as the scaffold is built to maintain stability and fall protection at all stages. The scaffold is inspected and formally handed over for use once it is complete and compliant. Dismantling is carried out in a controlled and systematic manner, following the reverse sequence of erection. Components are removed from the top down while maintaining stability, edge protection, and exclusion zones. Materials are lowered safely and managed to prevent damage or risk to personnel and the work area. Once dismantling is complete, the site is cleared and left in a safe condition. Throughout both erection and dismantling, strict safety controls are maintained, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment, adherence to approved procedures, and ongoing inspections. This ensures scaffolding systems provide safe, reliable access solutions for industrial and commercial projects.
